On July 15, 2024, the National Mentor Formation Program was launched—an important milestone in establishing a national mentoring network within the education system of the Republic of Moldova.

The creation of this national network of mentors is one of the key missions of the National Institute for Education and Leadership. Its purpose is to support the professional and personal development of teachers, school leaders, and future educators, ultimately aiming to enhance student well-being and academic progress.

The official opening of the event began with welcome messages from representatives of the organizing institutions.

The training program is guided by internationally accredited trainers: Doina FLEANȚĂ and Ada BENA.

In this context, by the end of 2024, the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova and the National Institute for Education and Leadership aim to certify one thousand qualified "agents of change" who will support teachers across the country by addressing systemic issues, disseminating best practices, guiding their peers, and motivating them to improve.

The activity is carried out under the program "Promoting Quality Education and Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All," funded by the European Union and implemented by UNICEF Moldova and UNDP Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research and the National Institute for Education and Leadership.

With great enthusiasm, we announce that the Autumn Camp for Young Specialists "I’m PRO, I’m a PROfessor" has been successfully launched! On October 31, 2024, around 200 young professionals gathered to seize this unique opportunity for professional and personal growth, as well as moments of relaxation and authentic connection.

The presence of young specialists in education was warmly welcomed by:

Galina RUSU, State Secretary, Ministry of Education and Research,

Viorica ANDRIȚCHI, Director of the National Institute for Education and Leadership,

Michelle Iliev, Education Team Leader, Future Technologies Project,

as well as by the team of trainers, who delivered a strong message of support and encouragement to all participants.

Over the course of four days, young teachers will engage in a variety of interactive activities focused on:

developing professional competencies;

enhancing personal and leadership skills;

building a community of early-career teachers and connecting with the National Institute for Education and Leadership’s Mentors’ Network;

providing a creative and enjoyable environment through activities that foster interaction and collaboration.

The "I’m PRO, I’m a PROfessor" Camp is organized by the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden in Chisinau and the UK in Moldova – British Embassy Chisinau Leadership, and is supported by the Future Classroom Technologies Moldova Project, the Embassy of Sweden in Chisinau, the UK in Moldova – British Embassy Chisinau, and in partnership with the National Center for Digital Innovations in Education "Future Classroom".
