Start the "Program for the training of national mentors"
On July 15, 2024, the National Mentor Formation Program was launched—an important milestone in establishing a national mentoring network within the education system of the Republic of Moldova.
The creation of this national network of mentors is one of the key missions of the National Institute for Education and Leadership. Its purpose is to support the professional and personal development of teachers, school leaders, and future educators, ultimately aiming to enhance student well-being and academic progress.
The official opening of the event began with welcome messages from representatives of the organizing institutions.
▪️Viorica ANDRIȚCHI, Director of the National Institute for Education and Leadership;
▪️Valentina OLARU, State Secretary, Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova;
Representatives of partner institutions:
▪️Galina BULAT, UNICEF Moldova representative, and
▪️Igor ȘAROV, Rector of Moldova State University.
The training program is guided by internationally accredited trainers: Doina FLEANȚĂ and Ada BENA.
In this context, by the end of 2024, the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova and the National Institute for Education and Leadership aim to certify one thousand qualified "agents of change" who will support teachers across the country by addressing systemic issues, disseminating best practices, guiding their peers, and motivating them to improve.
The activity is carried out under the program "Promoting Quality Education and Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All," funded by the European Union and implemented by UNICEF Moldova and UNDP Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research and the National Institute for Education and Leadership.
