Department of Initial Training and Project Management

Areas of Activity: 

  • Establishing the strategic development framework for the initial training system of teaching staff;
  • Conducting analyses, studies, and developing methodological recommendations to continuously align initial and continuous professional training programs for teachers with the realities of society, school, and the classroom;
  • Organizing scientific events, conferences, seminars, symposia, round tables, and other scientific-didactic events to promote the status of educational staff and the image of the Institute;
  • Identifying young individuals with a teaching vocation and encouraging them to pursue a career in education;
  • Conducting research, analyses, and studies on the professional integration of young specialists; monitoring their career insertion and supporting their advancement in the teaching profession;
  • Coordinating the activities of the Beginner Teachers Network;
  • Coordinating, monitoring, and continuously improving the activities of the Network of Pedagogical Practice Base Institutions;
  • Organizing training internships for pedagogical practice coordinators in vocational-pedagogical and higher education, aiming to increase the relevance of pedagogical practice stages and strengthen young people's motivation for a teaching career;
  • Promoting innovation-oriented education transformation programs, leadership, and the development of organizational culture in general education institutions;
  • Initiating and implementing international projects and collaborations in its field of activity;
  • Drafting normative acts related to the reconceptualization of professional training for teaching and management staff and submitting them to the Ministry of Education and Research
  • Supporting national professional development programs for teaching and managerial staff promoted by the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC)
  • Organizing conferences, pedagogical colloquia, webinars, workshops/working meetings, seminars, training sessions, round tables, and workshops for studying advanced practices, according to the professional and personal development needs of teaching and managerial staff, fostering connections between participants, academics, and researchers from the national and international education systems;
  • Other activities in line with the mission and functions of the Institute.

Department of Mentorship and Continuing Education

Areas of Activity:

  • Establishing the strategic development framework for the continuing education system for teaching and managerial staff;
  • Monitoring the quality of continuing education programs for teaching and managerial staff;
  • Coordinating the activities of the National Network of Mentors in general education;
  • Organizing continuing education programs for mentors;
  • Carrying out counseling, guidance, and support activities for institutional mentors, teachers, and managerial staff to disseminate innovative teaching and leadership methods throughout the education system;
  • Developing new generations of continuing education programs and resources for mentors, teaching and managerial staff in general education, in accordance with quality standards and individual needs;
  • Promoting workplace-based/institution-based continuing education programs tailored to the needs of teaching staff; supporting teachers and managers in promoting good educational and managerial practices, as well as advanced pedagogical/managerial expertise;
  • Providing didactic and managerial expertise services, consultancy, and successful educational/managerial practices for teaching, auxiliary teaching, and leadership staff in general education, according to their individual professional development needs;
  • Conducting analyses, studies, and research in the field of educational leadership, and offering methodological assistance to management staff in strategic leadership, efficient and transparent management, and public accountability;
  • Promoting programs for the innovative transformation of education, leadership, and the development of organizational culture in general education institutions;
  • Developing learning and support resources, including digital formats, for the continuous personal and professional training/self-training of mentors, teaching, and managerial staff;
  • Organizing scientific events, conferences, seminars, symposia, round tables, and other scientific-didactic events to promote the status of educational staff and the image of the Institute;
  • Drafting normative acts related to the reconceptualization of professional training for teaching and managerial staff and submitting them to the Ministry of Education and Research;

Department of Institutional Management 

Areas of Activity:

  • Coordinating the process of developing and promoting the Institute’s brand and identity elements;
  • Leveraging opportunities to promote the Institute through mass media, TV, social networks, and employee participation in events, conferences, and round tables;
  • Coordinating the development of normative-regulatory documents for the organization and operation of the Institute;
  • Coordinating internal and external communication processes, establishing partnerships with various institutions to promote Institute-organized events, ensuring the functionality of the information management system, and transparency of public interest information;
  • Developing the Institute’s activity plans, periodic and annual reports;
  • Drafting the staffing plans, the personnel structure, and the Institute's budget for the upcoming year;
  • Developing internal procedures and documents in the Institute’s key areas of activity;
  • Organizing competitions for job positions according to the staffing plan; preparing personal files (individual employment contracts, job descriptions);
  • Organizing mobility internships for staff and specialists to study best practices from universities in European countries;
  • Providing the Institute with digital infrastructure, equipment, software, and other information and communication technologies;
  • Digitizing the Institute’s administrative processes, developing and implementing digital tools to streamline the management of key activities and simplify documentation and reporting procedures;
  • Creating and managing the National Registry of Mentors and the National Registry of Beginner Teachers; maintaining the database for enrollment, learner tracking, cohort dynamics, etc.;
  • Continuously analyzing the quality of the Institute’s activities, organizing regular meetings with beneficiaries, and conducting research studies on their needs, expectations, and satisfaction levels;
  • Participating in the development of draft normative acts related to the Institute’s responsibilities;
  • Other activities in line with the mission and functions of the Institute.
